Line Marking Paint
Waterborne paint specifically made for marking asphalt or roads. It is the most affordable choice available and is fast, easy to install and delivers a durable and vibrant colour. The life of line paint is usually 1-2 years and will require a respray after that time in order to look its best. Glass beads are usually incorporated into this paint on roads to ensure a vibrant reflectivity.
Thermal plastic is the a more expensive option. It is more difficult to install as it is time consuming and requires special tools. Though the advantages are many including longer lasting and more resistant to wear from traffic. Thermal plastic is usually used for areas that receive heavy volumes of traffic. Think turning arrows or stop lines or give way lines. Though it can be used for almost anything paint is used for and has it glass beads incorporated for reflection on roads.
Rpm is an abbreviation for Raised Pavement Marker it is a marker raised above the surface of the road, that has a reflective face. It is in the more expensive range but they will last a very long time 5-10 years. When lights from a vehicle hit the reflective surface it will glow. It is impressive and effective when combined with paint or themo lines. It is installed by using a tar glue which bonds the reflective marker to the surface of the road.
